RECONSTITUTION INSTRUCTIONS
Preparation:
Gather a lyophilized NAD+ vial, sterile water or saline (0.9%),syringe, needle, alcohol swabs, and optionally, a 500 ml 0.9%sodium chloride IV bag.
Cleaning:
Make sure to maintain a sterile work area and always wear gloves.
Vial Preparation:
Check the vial for damage. Disinfect the top with an alcohol swab.
Reconstitution:
Inject 5 ml of sterile water or saline into the vial. Swirl gently to dissolve, avoiding excessive agitation.
Solution Check:
Ensure the solution is clear and free of particulate matter.
For Subcutaneous Injection (1000mg vial):
Inject 1 ml of sterile water or saline into the vial. Swirl gently to dissolve, avoiding excessive agitation. Draw 100mg for SC Injections. Note if you use this for IV, draw up 0.5 unit using an insulin syringe.
IV ADMINISTRATION GUIDE LINES
Setup:
Transfer the reconstituted solution to a 500 ml 0.9%saline IV bag.
Monitoring:
Start the IV drip slowly, adjusting the flow to match the client’s tolerance during the first20 minutes. Monitor closely for dizziness, increased heart rate, or abdominal discomfort.<?p>
Duration:
Typical drip time is 3-4hours for 500 mg NAD+.
